The bitter cold of night drove on With humble Joseph's foot upon The winding road that led from Galilee In Bethlehem a stranger Lay in a lowly manger The Savior there was born for you and me In service all His life was spent To rich and poor alike He went And testified that like Him we can be If we love one another And treat him as our brother The Savior showed the way for you and me Then on the cross was lifted up And would he not partake the cup But Father, all the glory unto Thee The price of death was paid Three days His body laid The Savior bled and died for you and me The message of the barren tomb The one that kept this Jesus whom We now invite the world to come and see Has risen from the grave Our sinful lives to save And lovingly He says come, follow me A matchless plan unfurled For God so loved the world He sent His Son to come and set us free And though I can't repay Him His witness I will be The Savior lives again for you and me
