Black Veil Brides - We Don't Belong - Commentary şarkı sözleri

Sanatçı: Black Veil Brides

albüm: Wretched And Divine: The Story Of The Wild Ones (Commentary Version)

"We don't Belong" was the first song that was written
Uh, the first song that I wrote down with John Felton
Erm, who produced the record
Uh, it was a song that really turned everything around for me
Erm, like I said, we had, we worked with a different producer
On a different, untitled Black Veil Brides Spilled Record
That I wanted scrapping
Um, but, uh, I had gone to John Felton's house
Kind of on a chance meeting, he didn't want to meet me
He's friends with our manager and
Um, I, I have a bunch of friends we'd made records with and
He heard about me 20 years and
I actually kicked him out with some assurance before
Eh, eh, funny story alright, he, uh, he had, was, he produced eh, eh
A record for one of the bands that helped him 14 years ago
And he's John Felton, so, he is a very famous guy in the scene
And eh, I'm a particular carer, where someone's famous in the art
I, I just don't want people to get in the way and John Felton
Walked into my dressing room, at the whiskey
And we're just standing there, looking at stuff, maybe, you know, eating chips
Now, I mean, I know that's just the kind of guy, yes, he's a very kind of saying
Like, you know, off the wall
I didn't rea-, I didn't realize that time, he wasn't being, like malicious
Or trying to get in, so I, I, meet him and was like
Hey man, get the hell outta here, like, this is my dressing room
And so we always remember that, that I was the guy who had the balls
To kick him out of the dressing room when he was in John Thelma
And so uh, that kind of, that thing always, he gets fascinated about me
Where he wanted to meet the guy who was so bally to kick him out of the room
And so, I went to his house and uh, we just started talking
And I grew up loving bands at that time, and Marx, the New Church
Three Sister Mercy and Stiff Little Fingers and
Those were the bands that really got me into the new second of this but obviously
And through time, the band sort of, uh, the natural evolution of list
More of kind of glam thing, which isn't bad but wasn't that sort of anything that
I wanted to do, I love Mötley Crüe, but I couldn't tell whichever lyric to the poison song
You know I loved rap king Morpheus, but I don't know anything about Warrant
And so it was a kind of thing where I wanted to be able to have the chance
To make things that were even more arching to my, uh musical influence
Growing up, and this was, before I even attached any significance to the
Black Veil Brides album, this was just like me talking to a guy about
Songs that I'd like to be writing and things I'd like to do and
He said, "Hey well, let's, let's go on and write a song" and so, you know
Holter was there, Randy Toplet come out, we all worked together, we're doing stuff
And uh, we came out with We Don't Belong, which to me, is a-, is a huge
Benchmark in terms of the-, stylistically a change for us as a band
Um, 'cause it, it definitely felt like, something that was so exciting to us that I
Literally, as soon as I got the mix back for the song
I shut down production with the producer
And said, "Okay, well, we're gonna, we're gonna work with John Felton"
We're gonna make this record, 'cause this is the direction that I want to go and then
He's just, he's a wonderful person and, and definitely sometimes one of
My best friends in the world now and it's just kind of funny that
It was a chance meeting and we worked on this song
And this song kind of made this record happen
