Basketball was always my favorite sport
But being a Yankee fan it's like something your born with
It's really like apart of the culture
It almost like plays a part and embodies being an actual real New Yorker
You just gotta know it to know
But when you do you can feel it in the air
And come October everyone's a little bit of a fan
Even if you don't watch baseball
And the funny thing is I listen to baseball more than I watch it
It's the only game that translates beautifully to radio
A good announcer can paint a picture with his words
The same way a good rapper does with his bars
You can close your eyes and you can see it
It's theatre for the mind
I throw it on especially when I need a break from music
Or a break from life in general
