We're barely speaking And I'm trying to get used to it It seems the older we get The more distance comes between the two of us When the hand that you folded Was the hand you held in mine You can settle the debt but You can't get back lost time I stopped believing When it stopped making much sense to me I took some steps to correct what was needed But look at where it's gotten me Take the weight that I've shed and Dump it in the shallow end It hasn't gone away but I'm numb when the pain's spread thin Because I just don't get it I'm so unsatisfied with what I see And while I don't regret it It's just not worth that much to me
