I don't know what a nightmare is called during the day But i'm guessing it's all just the same Because irrespective of the time of day I'm still awake Driving down memory lane I found myself going no place Aimlessly drifting in amazing grace I swam upstream the river Until my arms could no longer paddle further And so I let go And became one with the water and Against the rugged rocks and pebbles My bones snapped & My skull cracked wide open Lungs gasping and soaking Wrestling with the ocean's cousin Admittedly i lost a losing battle And on my back I was floating Bright lights circling Body began hovering Higher than a plane's wings The stars scintillating and gleaming Beneath me, passing space I see the entrance of heaven Thinking this would be the ending But seemingly I wasn't stopping Soaring beyond the kingdom I landed within the concept of things I Ran to its core and centered it and it Was just a feeling really And the clouds were a pinkish grey And there's nothing like fruitless day
