From my window I can see The chimney sweeper across the street My neighbor his family he can't reach Two white dogs looking at me It's getting cold outdoors and warm inside So many wonderful little lives Trees are getting ready for winter time Slowly the leaves saying goodbye The older couple from the second floor A quick watch through the window then it all looks like before Two young people passing by I can see the hope in their eyes From my window From my window My window She opens the curtain and closes it again I guess she feels good with her man I can hear an engine coming along A planes motor start from the airport See a woman walking across the street A whole universe on two feet So many wonderful little lives He's bringing the water upstairs to his wife Some are talking a smile on their face That's where they are now that's their place From my window I can see Universes crossing the street From my window From my window From my window I can see My window on the other side of the street I'm for them what they are for me We're the ones from the first floor A quick watch through the window then it all looks like before
