I have been trying To write a haiku for you Some things I just can't do Maybe you're beyond Ancient Asian poetry Or maybe it's just me I have been trying to get this haiku Just right, all night, for you, alright, I'm through Maybe this poem Was lost in the sauce we spilled That never got refilled I've never thought much Of formulaic verse anyway And rhymes are not my fort I have been trying to get this haiku Just right, all night, for you, alright, I'm through I'm trying not to try too hard But you're hard to write down right So I pen these tried attempts At haikus for you tonight ♪ [簡単な はずさ何手こ ずってんだ Wait, I actually did it I wrote a haiku for you! I finally found a break, holy shit, it's possible I finally made it through Been trying not to try my heart I've minded my own mind So just this once, just one attempt I'll write you down just right ♪ Kind, sweet and charming Voluptuously endowed Hair a darkened brown But then suddenly A sharp, piercing pain resounds Vision starts to cloud I wanted to see The hand in which it was held Before the knife fell I thought you'd stabbed me I swore that I smelled your smell But I stabbed myself I finally did it Yet, it hasn't helped at all (for you) I still feel so small I know it's too late I know you won't hear my call And so now I fall I had been trying to write a haiku For so long, but now, this song, is finally through It was all for you
