Now this is the tale of a pirate called sam
I'm nine inches tall and a parrot I am
My feathers shine blue like the ocean below
And redder than blood freshly cut from the foe
I was hatched in the cold in a tropical place
But taken a slave and put in a cage
They forced me to sing for to keep them amused
When I didn't comply I was always abused
But then came to save me, a captain and crew
My freedom they gave me, my captors they slew
I joined them and left behind all that I knew
Thus parrot became pirate, I was born anew

Second one in command, at the captains right hand
Many seas I have sailed, many battles I fought
Cause I may be a bird but a chicken I'm not
With my talons, my beak, and my blood piercing shriek
You'll never defeat this sweet parakeet
And I'll gladly risk it for another biscuit
Give me something to eat and I'll never retreat
Now, my grip may be too poor to man the oars
I can't steer us on course or do any chores
But my eyes are the sharpest without a doubt
So I'm up in the crow's nest on the lookout
From the top of the mast, I see waves down below
The ocean seems vast no matter how far we go
I hear cannons blast when I spotted a foe
Oh the cheer of the crew when to battle we go

I once met a swallow, a beautiful girl
With feathers of satin and eyes like a pearl
Together we soared the skies up above
Our hearts struck a chord and we fell in love

When I told my lovebird It broke her sweetheart
I asked her to come but she asked me to stay
In the end, the sea called me and I went on me way
Because I'm not a bird meant to live bold
And I need sailing the world with my pirate band
Even when stormy weather ruffles me feathers
And pulls up the tethers at peace still I am
