When i was just a wee little lad full of health and joy
One year for christmas i recieved a marvelous little toy
A wonder to behold it was
With many colors bright
And the moment that i set eyes on it
It give me hearts delight
And it went zoom when it moved
Up when it stopped
Whirr when it stood still
I never knew just what it was
I guess i never will
From the moment that i picked it up
I had a big surprise
For right on his bottom were two big buttons
That looked like big green eyes
Well the first pushed one
And then the other
And then i twisted it limbs
And when i set it down again
Well this is what it did
It whet zoom when it moved
Up when it stopped
Whirr when it stood still
I never knew just what it was
And i guess i never will
The first marched left and then marched right
And then marched under a chair
And when i looked where it had gone
It wasnt even there
I started to cry
And daddy laughed
For he knew that i would find
When i turned around that marvelous toy
Came a chugging from behind

So quickly it seems
Now i have me own little boy
And yesterday i gave to him
That marvelous little toy
Well his eyes nearly popped
Right out of his head
And he gave a squeal of glee
Neither oneof us knows just what it is
But he loves it just like me
